In my opinion on March 8, 2004, two NHLers lost their playing career, not just one.The infamous hit that fractured Steve Moore’s neck seems to be a play that Bertuzzi will never shake.I, for one, have been waiting for Todd Bertuzzi to find a nice fit on some NHL club, and turn it all around. Yet, after stints in Florida, Detroit and recently Anaheim it has become clear he may never get back to the bruising power forward that scored 46 goals in 2002-03 and looked to be the secondcoming of Cam Neely.Without playing the way that made him a 1st round pick, 23rd overall out of juniors, he may never fit on any NHL club. It’s like Justin Timberlake singing for ACDC, he may have balls…but he doesn’t use ‘em!When Bertuzzi was on his game he was pulverizing opponents in the corners and driving to the net like a freight train, not trying to dance around guys that are 50 pounds smaller. Its hard to believe, when you look at the effectiveness of players like Johan Franzen, Tomas Holmstrom, and Ryan Malone in the playoffs this year, that Bertuzzi can’t bring his game back to that level. There is still a place for the big man in the NHL.There isn’t one if your playing small though, and that is what Todd Bertuzzi needs to realize. He isn’t gonna break anyone’s neck by sending them flying on a clean hit. There were two other guys that piled on Moore, not just Todd.Hopefully he can realize his worth, and get back to the Bertuzzi with a chip on his shoulder.Otherwise I heard that Disney on Ice is looking for someone to play Shrek At least then he wouldn’t have to leave Anaheim..

SAN DIEGO–(Business Wire)–For thousands of years women have been using makeup to enhance the look of theireyes and lashes. But what if there was a way to encourage your lashes to growlonger and thicker, without makeup? Now there is and this innovative new lashenhancer, Latisse, has come to San Diego`s ClearView Eye and Laser MedicalCenter “For us, Latisse was a natural option for our patients. After having LASIK, manyof our patients were looking for a way to emphasis their new look and newvision. What better way to draw attention to your eyes than with longer, thickerand darker lashes,” said Dr Sandy T. Feldman, ClearView Clinical Director, renowned corneal expert and refractive surgeon.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved Latisse for eyelashhypotrichosis, which means having inadequate or sparse lashes. Originally,Latisse was developed from a glaucoma drug called Lumigan. When glaucomapatients were prescribed Lumigan, they noted a surprising and beneficial, sideeffect. The ophthalmic solution increased the length of their lashes. This ismuch like BOTOX, which was first approved by the FDA as a medical treatment foreye disorders and was later found to have an aesthetic benefit for wrinkles.Allergan, the makers of Lumigan and BOTOX, saw a way to meet a need in themedical aesthetic marketplace and further developed Latisse for the generalpublic.

The Latisse drops are applied to the base of the eyelashes with a specialapplicator once a day Dr. Feldman recommends these treatments be done at nightafter the patient`s makeup has been removed and their face is clean. In aboutfour to sixteen weeks, the patient`s lashes should begin to be longer, darkerand thicker Latisse is available only through a doctor. Patients are required to have athorough eye examination before beginning to use Latisse. In order to maintainthe effects of the lash enhancer the drops must be used continually. If the useof Latisse is discontinued, eyelashes will gradually return to where they wereprior to treatment over a period of weeks to months depending on the averageeyelash hair cycle.
